Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community is a wonderful place to receive and offer support. We provide a variety of services to harbor support between residents and our staff. We want to encourage lasting relationships and enhance the quality of life for our residents through the services we provide.

Social Service...Relationships

Providing service for our residents goes far beyond basic care. The TLRC Social Service Department assists residents and their families down many different avenues. Social Workers provide guidance and assistance for those entering into our Care Center, aid in emotional support during times of change, and assist with discharge planning home. From the time of admission, they are available and become an intricate part of our residents’ lives.

Therapy...Strength

Consonus Rehab Services joined our team in 2006 to provide physical, occupational, speech and swallow, therapy services as well as ultrasound, electrical stimulation or Short-Wave Diathermy to aid in pain relief. These services our offered throughout our campus and beyond.

Equipped with one of the largest up to date therapy facilities in town, Consonus can offer the most appropriate therapy required to meet the needs of our ever-growing and changing population. We are grateful to have their services available within our community.

Our therapy services are available on an out-patient basis as well. All you need is a physicians order and we will help facilitate the details. Call for a free screening and more information about how we can help you.

Activities...Simple Pleasures

The things in life that fulfill us most are commonly related to fun, friendship and family. Our Activity staff maintain that focus in all that they do. The creativity behind projects, outings and programs is driven by what is in the best interest of the residents we serve. Many new programs are introduced each year . Trips and tours are outings everyone looks forward to. From morning fishing trips, cruises to Alaska or an afternoon at the Puyallup Fair. We strive to offer something to fit everyone’s interests.

And we do mean ful”fill”ment! Our five star dining and catering service team is really top notch!

With the luxury of a full time Executive Chef, our residents, staff and visitors enjoy a variety of cuisines. From the Chef Stage Center Meals , where food is skillfully prepared at the table side and served sizzling’ hot from the skillet, to any of our 750 meals served daily, our entrees entice the senses of everyone. We host many events throughout the year such as weddings, memorials, birthdays, holidays or just about any reason to celebrate and eat!

Faith...

One of our favorite places within our home is our chapel. Adorned with some of the most beautiful stained glass in the northwest, our chapel is a sanctuary for all. With the guidance of two chaplains, daily chapel services are provided as well as weekly bible study sessions. With all faiths honored and accepted in our facility, our chaplains provide spiritual care to anyone in need.
