Giving Clubs

President’s Society

Donors who make annual gifts of $300 or more to Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community are invited to become members of the TLRC President’s Society.  President’s Society membership includes access to exclusive events and special recognition. 

Heritage Society: Leaving a Legacy

Heritage Society members are caring individuals who have included Tacoma Lutheran in their will or estate.  Many believe that they have to choose between leaving a gift to their family or to their favorite charity.  You can do both, and some gifts may actually save your family money by decreasing inheritance taxes (please consult your tax advisor).  The Foundation office can provide a referral to our gift planning specialist, the tax identification number, and current information regarding charitable gift annuities.

Employee Giving

Tacoma Lutheran employees see first hand the difference a donation makes in the lives of residents.  Through payroll deduction, TLRC employees can voluntarily designate a set amount each paycheck to give back to programs benefiting residents.  For example, if each employee were to contribute $5 per pay period, TLRC would raise an extra $45,000 each year to be used for the good of TLRC residents.

Resident Automatic Giving

Making donations has just become easier!  TLRC residents can now donate through automatic giving rather than writing checks to the Foundation each month.  Residents simply specify an amount to be placed on their monthly billing statement then just write a single check to TLRC.  The charitable contribution designated to the Foundation will be tax deductible. 

Gift Matching

Thrivent Gift Matching

For those who are Thrivent Financial for Lutheran members (with either an insurance policy or investment through Thrivent Financial), gifts may be eligible to be matched thus bringing valuable support to TLRC residents!  In addition to matching donations, Thrivent will contribute an additional $25 based on individual volunteer hours that meet or exceed the 25 hour requirement.

Corporate Gift Matching

Many companies give back to their communities.  Donations to TLRC may be eligible for gift-matching by your employer.  Please ask your employer’s Human Resources department if your company participates and if so, complete your employer’s form and enclose it with your gift.
