TLH Foundation Preserving Quality of Life Today, Tomorrow & Always Four Ways to Donate Donation Form Multiply your Gift The Tacoma Lutheran Home Foundation (TLHF) works to advance the programs and services vital for residents’ quality of life. Created in 1987, it generates financial support for:
WHAT TO GIVE Outright gifts: Cash, Securities, Property, In-kind Gifts, Contractual Gifts, Trusts Endowed Gifts, US Savings Bonds, Marching Gifts, Bequests Memorial & Honorarium Gifts Automatic Payroll Deduction Deferred Gifts: Bequests, Retirement Plans, Life Insurance, Pay On Demand (POD) accounts Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Pooled Income Funds DONOR ADVISED GIFTS Restrict your gift to a specific fund or purpose:
Ø Care Center Resident Activities – in-house and community activities; day trips and tours Ø Apartment Resident Services – volunteer wellness programs, crafts and activities, overnight trips and tours, computer workstations and on-line access. Ø Continuing Education Scholarships – supports higher education for qualified candidates. Ø Chaplaincy Endowment – perpetual support for the Chaplaincy program supports daily devotional services, bereavement counseling to families and to employees. Ø Greatest Need – unrestricted cash donations, including bequests, memorials and honorariums are applied to the general fund to support urgent needs as designated by the Foundation President and the Governing Board. Ø Memorials & Honorariums - Any gift can be given in honor or remembrance of a loved one. Tributes totaling $1,000 or more, qualify for placement of the everlasting Remembrance Wall. ANNUAL GIVING, MEMBERSHIPS, & PLEDGES President’s Society Become a member of the President’s Society with an annual pledge of $300.00 or more that is payable monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, bi-annually or annually. The President’s Society supports nursing care, medications, comfort therapies and other special personal care services for any resident in need. Heritage Club Include Tacoma Lutheran Home in your will or estate planning. Notify TLHF and you automatically become a member of the Heritage Club. Tacoma Lutheran Home and Retirement Community is a 501 (c) (3) non profit organization, sponsored by 24 Lutheran Churches. The TLH Foundation office can provide you with a tax identification number, a referral to our gift planner, and/or provide you with up to date information concerning charitable gift annuities. Planned Giving & Major Gifts Maximize your estate potential. Deferred and planned gifts can benefit others while providing income for you for life. Charitable Gift Annuities start at $1,000. Major Gifts of $5,000 and above are often used to fund capital improvement projects. Foundation staff has information about the latest capital project and all restricted funds.
